Amen ("we," "our," or "us") provides a digital sanctuary designed to help you reclaim your focus through prayer. This Privacy Policy explains our data practices. We do not require a login, and we do not collect or store your personal identity (name, email, or phone number).

2. Data We Access and Use

  • Screen Time & App Blocking: We use Apple's FamilyControls (Screen Time API) and Android's Device Policy/Accessibility Services to detect when you open a blocked app. We do not read or store what you do inside those apps.
  • AI-Generated Prayers: We use the Gemini API to select and generate prayers based on your mood. This interaction is anonymized.
  • Notifications: We send local push notifications to remind you of prayer times. These stay on your device and are not tracked by us.

3. Third-Party Services

We use trusted partners to maintain app quality:

  • App Stores: Apple and Google process all transactions.
  • Analytics: We use anonymized tools (like RevenueCat) to manage your subscription status.
  • AI Sub-processor: Anonymized data is sent to the Gemini API for prayer selection.

4. Children's Privacy

Amen is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

5. Your Privacy Controls

Because we do not use accounts, you have full control over your data:

  • Locally Stored Data: Your prayer streaks and blocked app lists are stored on your device. To delete this data, simply delete the app.
  • Permissions: You can revoke Screen Time or Notification permissions at any time via your device settings, though this will disable core app features.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our service or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, through a notification within the app.
